Ferrous sulfate polymerization is widely used in many fields, mainly including the following aspects:

Water treatment field

Drinking water treatment: It can efficiently remove suspended solids, colloids, organic matter, bacteria and other impurities in the water, reduce the turbidity and color of the water, so that the water quality reaches the standard of drinking water. It has good flocculation effect and can reduce aluminum residue in water, which is safer and more reliable than traditional aluminum salt flocculants.

Industrial wastewater treatment: It has good effect on industrial wastewater of different industries. For example, in printing and dyeing wastewater, it can remove the chromaticity and chemical oxygen demand (COD) of wastewater; in electroplating wastewater, it can effectively precipitate heavy metal ions, such as chromium, nickel, copper, etc.; in papermaking wastewater, it can reduce the content of suspended solids and biochemical oxygen demand (BOD) of wastewater.

Municipal wastewater treatment: It is used in the primary enhanced treatment and deep treatment of municipal wastewater. In the primary treatment, most of the suspended solids and some organic matter in the sewage can be removed by flocculation and precipitation, reducing the load of subsequent biological treatment; in the deep treatment, the residual suspended solids, colloids and dissolved organic matter in the water after secondary treatment can be further removed to improve the quality of effluent water, so as to meet the reuse or discharge standards.

Circulating cooling water treatment: it can prevent scaling and corrosion in circulating cooling water, and reduce the scaling tendency of water by removing hardness ions and suspended matter in water, while the floc formed can adsorb corrosive substances in water, and protect equipment and pipelines.

Paper industry field

Paper enhancement: Ferrous sulfate polymerization can combine with cellulose in paper to form a network structure, which improves the strength and toughness of paper and makes it more durable.

Retention and filtration aid: It helps to improve the retention rate of fillers and fine fibers in the papermaking process and reduce their loss, while speeding up the filtration speed of pulp and improving production efficiency.

Wastewater treatment: the wastewater generated by the paper industry contains a large number of organic matter, suspended solids and fibers and other impurities, polymeric ferric sulfate can be used in the treatment of wastewater, through flocculation and precipitation to remove these pollutants, to achieve the wastewater discharge or reuse.

Pharmaceutical industry

Drug synthesis: as a kind of iron source, it can be used in the synthesis process of some drugs, such as the preparation of some iron supplement drugs.

Pharmaceutical wastewater treatment: The wastewater produced in the process of pharmaceutical production is complex, containing a large number of organic matter, heavy metal ions and biologically active substances. Ferrous sulfate polymerization can remove suspended matter and some organic matter in wastewater through flocculation, reduce COD and chromaticity of wastewater, and create conditions for subsequent deep treatment.

Other fields

In chemical industry: as an important chemical raw material, it can be used to prepare other iron compounds, such as iron oxide red, iron oxide yellow and other pigments.

In the electronic industry: used for cleaning wastewater treatment in the production process of electronic components, it can remove heavy metal ions and organic matter in the wastewater to prevent pollution to the environment.

In food industry: it can be used as food additive to adjust the pH value of food or as iron fortifier to increase the iron content in food and prevent iron deficiency anemia. However, it should be used in strict compliance with relevant food safety standards and regulations.
